Specializing in identifying opportunities and raising capital, Jeff Novak successfully creates mixed-used lifestyle communities, integrating urban living and lifestyle experiences with hospitality, upscale retail, and high-end rental properties. Novak is a former NFL lineman who after retiring from professional sports became a real estate entrepreneur. He ran a real estate marketing and sales agency before starting Novak Brothers in 2008. 

During the past 15 years, Novak Brothers has developed over $500 Million dollars in real estate. Currently, Novak Brothers owns real estate assets valued over $200 million, those assets include residential developments, multi-family, retail, office, and hotels. Novak Brothers has real estate projects under construction totaling $350+ million.

Andy Heard

PRESIDENT, NOVAK COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Andy Heard is the President of Novak Commercial Development and Partner in Novak Brothers and in this role leads new development and acquisition strategies across a variety of commercial property types. Andy brings more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry having spent thirteen years with Hines Interests and the last five at the helm of Novak Commercial Development.

During his career, Andy has held roles in all aspects of development, acquisition, and asset management with his primary focus on pursuing and executing new development opportunities. He has been involved in transactions totaling more than $750M and 5.0M square feet of product covering office, retail, multi-family, condominium, industrial, and hospitality uses. During his tenure at Novak Brothers, Andy has overseen $250M of completed projects with an additional $225M in the current pipeline. Andy holds an MBA from Rice University and a BBA in Real Estate Finance from SMU.

Jim Cramer

CO-FOUNDING PARTNER

Jim Cramer has more than 40 years’ experience in building and developing exceptional residential and commercial properties for nationally-known developers, including NVR, Zaring and Regency. 

As a Virginia licensed architect (6237) and with NCARB certification (28371), he consults and contracts with local architects in the development of Novak Brothers’ properties. Focusing on welcoming spaces, and the power of comfortable, relaxing environments to bring balance to the chaos of modern life. 

Cody Davis

PRESIDENT NOVAK CAPITAL

Mr. Davis was raised in the oil and gas producing region around Elk City, Oklahoma. A third generation oilman, Mr. Davis has fond memories as a youngster visiting well sights across Oklahoma with his grandfathers. His love for the oil and gas industry was generated through family influence, and resulted in Davis becoming an oil and gas executive approximately a decade ago. During that time, Mr. Davis has been instrumental in developing three successful exploration companies responsible for drilling, completing, and producing oil and natural gas wells across a multitude of states.

Mr. Davis currently resides in McKinney, Texas where his extracurricular activities include involvement with CEO based mentoring and personal development organization. When he is not searching for his next business venture he enjoys spending time with his family as well as golfing, boating, and hunting.

Brad Crouse

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Joy McVean

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER  / VP OF OPERATIONS, COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

A sales and marketing executive for the past 25 years, Joy McVean is an accomplished entrepreneur and management executive with achievements in sales, operations, and organizational development, and has proven capabilities in both public and privately held companies.

With extensive expertise in real estate marketing, Joy was hired in 2017 by Novak Brothers as Director of Marketing and later took over Sales and Marketing for Novak’s award-winning Texas Brownstones™ division. In 2021, McVean was named President for Novak Brothers’ Residential Division and was recently appointed as Vice President of Operations for Novak Commercial Development. 

Morgan McLaughlin

PRESIDENT, NOVAK COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

Morgan McLaughlin is the President of Novak Commercial Construction and is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He has 15 years of experience in the construction industry and an extensive background in developing, managing and delivering various nationwide roll-out concepts.

Morgan previously spent 12 years with his previous employer as Sr. Director of Construction where he managed a construction sub-division of over 40 million dollars in annual revenue. Morgan has a wealth of experience in high end restaurants, high end retail, automotive, industrial and storage facilities. His passion has always been assisting clients with VE opportunities during the design phase to ensure target budgets are met without impacting the overall concept of the project.
